Excellent ....  Thanks Tim,  it all worked  perfectly for me.  The only scary bit was having to delete my existing pocket on drop box  because it initially only wanted to overwrite the copy I have on my mobile with the "old"  data that was on drop box  from a couple of weeks ago.  However,  as soon as I " discarded"  the old pocket data on drop box, it  worked fine.

Thanks again for an excellent app and hopefully those people still using the free version will now purchase the pro key to tears you for the effort you've put in over the bank holiday weekend.

 Thanks again

I did the update without problem- now it says encryption/de-encryption problem. The files are working fine on my desktop. What do I do next reinstall from scratch?

Thank you Tim! Your attentiveness to your loyal customers is greatly appreciated. Installed the update and syncing appears to be working fine again.  I can now sleep better knowing that one of my main go-to apps is back online.  ;-)  Keep up the good work.

Weirdly even after the update I'm having issues. I uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it. After that, I restored my backup and it still says something on the lines of "Unable to sync", "Sync failed" and a toast that roughly says "Network error".

Samsung galaxy s2 running 4.1.2 with the dropbox app installed.

Thank you for fixing the dropbox issue.
The new version leads into crah when using "Forgot" Function and then "Reset"
It should lead into the setup.
I loaded again the last file and selected "config" and then "Reset"
The 2nd time I tried to reproduce that it worked like expected.

Now we know the workarround to use pocket without dropbox by importing the wallet.db and rename hash.txt as wallet.txt
I look for a method to use pocket with an alternative cloud (via webdav)
I expected that the changes I make in Pocket were stored in that wallet.db i had imported.
But the files are unchanged.
So I have to export as encrypted file. But the filenames differ now as pocket.db and pocket.txt.
If I manually copy them to my cloud, I am able to use them on the windows application.
Is there an easier way?
Or could you please implement the usage of webdav as alternative to dropbox?
Thanks

Timothy,

Rather than abandon the app, why not charge a small fee for it.  It's a lot easier to be motivated when you're getting some compensation.  I recommend doing like swiftkey.  They charge $3.99 for the app with a 30-day trial period to see how it works.  I tried it for a few days and once I realized what an improvement it was over the buggy Samsung keyboard, I was happy to pay the $4.  I'm sure your app would be just as popular...just read your comments!

After the upgrade Dropbox sync still is not working.
Now I deinstalled and re-installed Pocket. When trying to get my pocket from Dropbox the Pocket app says "Network Error". Sync is still not working and so Pocket is as good as unusable - sorry to say that.

Will there be a upgrade fixing this issue rather soon?

Any chance  we could get the same Dropbox sync as the Android app in the desktop version.

My work pc has a ban on the Dropbox desktop client and the Android app-style sync would give me back access to a great app combo.

I love this app no matter what age it's looking. But....I'm a bit scared if I lose my phone and don't have access to my laptop I won't have access to my info on Pocket. If there was some way to open the app within Dropbox to view that info this would be the final touch in what is already a great app. Is there any thoughts of advancing Pocket in this direction? Thanks again for your great work.
